CFC was saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of long-time member and supporter, Brad Allen. A retired attorney, Brad, 72, was a board member for many years, gave sage advice, worked with local scout troops and helped establish local bluebird monitoring trails, continuing the bluebird monitoring until vision problems intervened.

Also active with the Barrington Area Public Library and a founding member of the local running club, he continued his running and competed in many marathons, still running daily until his untimely death. Here he is shown at the 2006 CFC Annual Meeting last February at the Barrington Library.
